Four different players scored goals as the Flint Powers hockey team remained unbeaten with Saturday's 6-3 win over East Kentwood.
Powers, which led only 3-2 after two periods, improved to 5-0 with the win.
Jeff Polakowski scored three times for Powers, Riley Start had a goal and two assists and Mike Forman added five assists. Polakowski now has six goals in five games.
"We have nine seniors and its a pretty good core group," Powers coach Travis Perry said. "Jeff is a four-year player for us and he's had a strong start. It's been a combination of timely goals for us and hard work. We wore them down a little in the third period."
Perry said his team will find out more about itself this week with games against East Grand Rapids, Cranbrook and Gaylord.
"Cranbrook is No. 1 in the state and always a measuring stick," Perry said. "You're always happy to win, but when you play 25 games you're going to lose a few. We won't go 25-0, but it's been a good start."
