Witherspoon (nine goals, five assists) tallied four goals in two games last week, scoring twice in a 5-3 win over Mt. Pleasant on Wednesday, Jan. 21, and twice more Saturday in a 4-2 win over South Bend (Ind.) St. Joseph's. His second goal Saturday, 7:20 into the third period, turned out to be the game-winner.

"Conor is such a great setup guy, but we've been stressing to him that he needs to shoot more," Powers Catholic coach Travis Perry said. "He has scored four goals in our last three games, and it's always great to see your younger players grow."
