Mike Forman had two goals and two assists, leading Flint Powers Catholic to a 10-2 win against Midland on Wednesday.

Brendan Smith had two goals and an assist, Jon Thomas scored twice, and Jeff Polakowski had one goal and three assists.

Dan Delong added a goal and two assists, and Joe Schunck and Conor Witherspoon each scored once.

Powers led 3-0 after the first period, and then exploded for five more goals in the second.

“We’ve been in an offensive slump all year, and I hope we broke out of it at the right time,” Powers coach Travis Perry said. “It was nice to see us have five goals in that second period, and we were able to answer against both of their goals.”

Ben Cislo, Brendan Walker and Stefan Cramer each had two assists, and Cam Lieffers added one assist.

Midland’s Jorden Miller scored both of his team’s goals.

Powers wraps up its regular season against Marysville on Friday.

“I know they played us really tough last year, and we are looking for a win streak heading into the playoffs,” Perry said.
