Flint Powers gained a win over a tough and physical Gabriel Richard squad at The Cube in Ann Arbor on Saturday night. Powers found scoring from all four lines with Junior defenseman Hans Hering leading the way with two goals. Sophomore forward Keigan Wildfong notched his first goal as a Charger at 13:41 of the first period. GR Freshman Scott Granzotto got his team on the board in the first period with a goal. Hering's two goals came late in the first, giving the Chargers a 3-1 lead after one period of play.

It was nip and tuck for most of the second, as Gabriel Richard scored three goals. Senior forward Nick Sheridan lit the lamp twice. Junior forward Eric Budd also scored. The Chargers responded with four goals of their own from Freshman forward Mason Weiss, Sophomore forward Cam Lieffers and Junior forwards Jon Thomas (power play) and Joe Schunck all scoring to give Powers a 7-4 lead after two.

Penalties took a toll on GR in the third. Junior forwards Brendan Smith and Chase Knoblock completed the scoring for a 9-4 Powers win. Flint Powers plays its next game on the road versus Riverview Gabriel Richard on Wednesday, December 23, 2015.
