The Powers Catholic Chargers continued their winning ways hosting a physical Saline team Saturday February 13, at Iceland arena 3 to 0.

Mason Czarnecki opened the scoring 8 minutes into the first period connecting on a pass from Tyler Lawrence. With just over a minute left in the 1st period and the Chargers on a powerplay, Trey Carlock tipped in a Westin Reinig shot from the point. Tyler Lawrence added his second assist of the game and the Chargers went to the locker room with a 2 to 0 lead.

The teams played a scoreless 2nd period as the Chargers successfully killed 3 penalties to keep Saline scoreless.

The up and down action continued in the 3rd period and neither team could light the lamp until Tyler Lawrence sealed the win with an open net goal. Nick Kurtiak recorded his 2nd win of the season and his first career varsity shut out making 16 saves.

The Chargers lace the skates on again February 16th when they travel to Saginaw to take on the defending Saginaw Valley Champion, Heritage Hawks
