As the 2021-22 high school ice hockey season approaches, the Genesee County community celebrates 50 amazing years of High School hockey! Despite the many changes through the years, one thing remains a constant and that is the strength of the Flint Powers Catholic hockey program.

Last year’s state semi-final game loss to Cranbrook simply provided the team with additional fuel in their off-season preparation. They are poised for another promising season as many of their core producers are returning as juniors, along with being led by a handful of strong seasoned playmakers at the senior class level. With the continual attraction to the rich tradition, a couple young underclassman transfer student athletes have made their way to Charger Nation. The funnel continues to capture talent year in and year out!

The expectations and goals have not changed as they remain very high, reflecting the caliber of talent suiting up for the 2021-2022!

The team’s first test November 17th will be very early in an exhibition game facing off against the returning D3 State Champion Cranbrook Cranes!!!

Season opener vs. Clarkston November 24th, 6pm @ Iceland arena!

This game is our Military Appreciation Night! Free admission for all Military/First Responders. Game Jersey giveaway!
