Six players scored for Flint Powers Catholic in a 7-2 win over host Jackson Lumen Christi on Saturday.

Spencer Owen had two goals and two assists, while Connor Owen and Garrett Gormley each had a goal and two assists.

“Lots of penalties tonight; seven of the nine goals in the game were special teams goals,” Powers coach Travis Perry said. But it was good to see the guys overcome some adversity and come out with the win.”

Perry said depth scoring is what makes his team so dangerous.

“We had six goal scorers tonight, and last game we had eight goal scorers on eight goals,” he said. “As a coach you love to see that.”

Lumen Christi’s Tyler Papierski had a goal and an assist.

Powers (3-1) plays East Grand Rapids on Friday in Gaylord.
