Flint Powers Catholic hockey team earns 6-0 shutout victory over Walsh Jesuit (OH)

Connor Owen scored two goals on Friday to lead Flint Powers Catholic to a 6-0 win over Walsh Jesuit, currently ranked #7 in OH.

“We’ve had a hard time playing a full 51 minutes, but tonight we played the full 51,” Powers Catholic coach Travis Perry said. “We lost to them in overtime last year, so we had motivation to get the win against them this time.”

Garrett Gormley, Derek Simon and Spencer Owen each recorded a team-high two assists.

Also scoring a goal for Powers Catholic were Gormley, Dan Delong, Brendan Smith and Mike Forman.

Austin Kane secured the shutout victory with 15 saves.
