Flint Powers Catholic goaltender Austin Kane had 24 saves to help the team defeat Toledo St. Johns 4-1 on Saturday.  TSJ is currently ranked #1 in OH.

Nick Baumgartner scored the goal for St. John's in the third period, and it was the first goal against Powers Catholic in the past three games.

"(Kane) has probably played some of his best games since he's been at Powers Catholic," Chargers coach Travis Perry said. "he looks comfortable and hopefully we can keep riding him into the playoffs."

Connor Owen led Powers Catholic (14-5, 3-2 Saginaw Valley League South) with two points, while Stefan Cramer and Spencer Owen each contributed one. Garrett Gormley had three assists.

"We're playing good hockey right now," Perry said. "Things are looking good for us if we can continue the momentum. But momentum is hard to get and hard to hang on to."
